Dr. Trela Anderson is an educator, author, and speaker whose gentle humor, shining PPTs, and glowing audience engagement lead women to discover and embrace their identity in Christ. Come expectant and leave motivated and equipped to live securely in God's plan for you.
Trela has over twenty years of experience in her field. She earned a PH.D. in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, an M.A. in English from the University of Georgia, and a B.A. in English from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
During the past fifteen years, Trela has experienced God’s interweaving of her personal and professional life --- a mission to positively impact students’ lives, particularly young women, both in and out of the classroom. For several years, she led a Bible study cell group called Destiny-finders for college-aged women and founded an after-school tutoring program called More Excellent Way for students in her community of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Currently, she leads an online Bible study and discussion group for professional Christian women.
Trela has published two books: The Cinderella Stories: Lessons I Learned from My Grandmother, A Spiritual Memoir and From Such Turn Away: Warnings Against Lesbianism, A Guide for Teen Girls and Young Adult Women. The latter text addresses the subject of lesbianism from a biblical perspective and alerts girls and young women to the crafty means by which Satan attempts to lure them into such a lifestyle. It encourages them to turn away from such relationships and turn instead to Christ, the basis of their identity and the healer of their souls.
Now, Trela resides in the Washington DC area and is a member of The Life Church DC Metro.
