Saundra has been a volunteer in both children’s ministries and women’s ministry at her home church for over 15 years and enjoys sharing the Word of God with humor and purpose. Her speaking ministry is now filling her days after having homeschooled her two sons from, as she puts it: high chair to high school.
When women understand how God sees them through the sacrifice of Jesus, they will be empowered to stand in their uniqueness, comprehend their worth, and except the unconditional, and all encompassing perfect love of the Creator of the Universe! Saundra's goal is for women to know that they know their Abba Father loves them and that is sufficient.
Embracing her own uniqueness she uses humor to spread the messages God lays on her heart.
Saundra believes that God’s plan for her is to help women fully embrace and accept the love God has for them. No matter what their circumstances, but especially post abortive women who often feel the weight of shame, guilt and unworthiness that abortion can bring.
Saundra has wholeheartedly embraced God's words in Romans 8:1-2 and John 8:36 -
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."
"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
After almost 40 years of what Saundra refers to as her "wilderness wanderings", she became a child of God on November 13, 1998. Saundra didn't know of God, and she certainly didn't know she needed a Savior. Without the love of an earthly father or the knowledge of her Abba Father in heaven, there was a void. Saundra tried to fill this unnamed void in all the wrong ways and as a result, by the time she was 25 she had had multiple abortions.
God had shown her His mercy, love and forgiveness in regards to her sins. ALL of her sin and she desired to help other wounded women heal from the wounds their choices had caused. Saundra knew that healing can only come from God and that many women, especially in churches everywhere are wounded. Saundra's mission is that those wounded women allow God to heal them and turn their wounds into sacred scars! Every scar has a story. And the scars that remain from wounds that God has healed are a glorious testimony to His love and faithfulness. God never wastes a hurt.
The seed to share God's word was planted in her heart early on. While attending a Women of Faith Conference in Philadelphia, she felt in her spirit that she would one day be speaking in front of women and sharing her faith and love of God.
Since 2018 Saundra has been a volunteer at the Pregnancy Resource Center of the Poconos as a peer counselor and a post-abortive Bible study facilitator. In April of 2019 PRCP held their first Post Abortion Healing Retreat. During this one day event she and the other volunteers saw divine breakthrough and healing begin in the hearts of the women there!
Saundra says on her website, www.sonlitwoodsministries.com, that the weight of sin kept her lost and wandering in her own metaphorical woods, with no path out.
God led her out of the woods and into the light, His marvelous Light that she dances in daily!

Saundra's word for us was straight from the heart and from God's Word. It was clear, loving, Biblical and full of compassion and mercy. Highly recommend her to any church or gathering who needs to hear what God says about abortion, healing forgiveness and love!
