My greatest passion in life is empowering women. The vehicle God chose for me for the last 17 years has been as a business owner and certified personal trainer. Recently He has been pushing me to accept more speaking engagements to reach a larger audience on a greater variety of topics... so here I am!
Challenges I have faced and overcome include growing up with an alcoholic dad, being diagnosed with an eating disorder, multiple addictions (marijuana, cigarettes, alcohol, sex), opening and running a business for 17 years and in 2016 dealing with the death of my little sister (she left behind three young children). I am passionate about inspiring others to not just survive their challenges in life, but to thrive.
When people hear what I've been through I often hear, "How are you so... normal??" It makes me laugh every time! I often joke about the number of hours I've spent in counseling but it truly just comes down to God's grace and His ability to heal us and change us when we allow Him.
My experience so far includes speaking at a ladies tea event of about 100 or so (topic was Prioritizing Self-care), being the keynote speaker for a senior wellness conference of around 300 attendees (topic was Simplifying Fitness) and I was a guest on a fitness podcast (topic was Loss & Grieving).
