More About Candy McVicar

Candy McVicar finds the seeds of hope even in the hardest of soils that come through pain in this life and has seen God move in and through her story to help others find hope and purpose. She is the co-founder and Executive Director of Missing GRACE Foundation, a national organization providing resources and support for families who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss, infertility or adoption challenges. As a speaker, she is an epic story teller who makes each message hit home with her audience. As an educator she inspires people to alter their current situation and mindsets so they can achieve increased levels of connection relationally with others and with the Lord. Candy is the co-author of The 5 Love Languages for Grieving Parents: Holding on to Love After You've Lost a Baby with Dr. Gary Chapman.

Candy has been a featured guest on Fox News, Focus on the Family and Building Relationships with Dr. Gary Chapman. She has lectured at hospitals, clinics, universities, churches and conferences, capturing the hearts of many with her engaging and personable style. She is a grief and trauma specialist on a mission to help couples and families grow closer together, heal and find hope.

Candy McVicar is mom to four – two on earth and two in heaven. She and her husband Stephen have been married and serving in ministry together for twenty-three years. After the stillbirth of their daughter Grace in 2001, they founded Missing GRACE Foundation.

Candy has extensive experience working with bereaved families and within healthcare systems. Candy facilitates grief support groups for parents and grandparents and provides facilitator training courses. Candy volunteered in hospital birthing rooms and NICUs, supporting hundreds of perinatal loss families for ten years. She provided them with birth support, professional photography and videography and assisted with their funeral services.

Candy is a lover of homemade fresh, squeezed juice, long walks along the coast near her home in South Carolina, photographing the light dancing on the water, snuggles with her favorite man and two amazing daughters Tatum and Talyah and time with the fur babies in her life: Anela and Tico.
