More About Kelly Stigliano

Kelly J. Stigliano is an author and speaker who shares her journey from pregnant teen bride to domestic abuse survivor, single mom, and marriage to her Boaz.  http://www.kellystigliano.com

----------

She brings her audience from laughter to tears and back as she shares God’s story in her life with candor and humor.

Kelly and her husband, Jerry enjoy life in sunny Florida. They are a blended family and their five grown children, son-in-law, and two granddaughters are spread across the globe.

Growing up in a quiet Northeastern Ohio Amish town, Kelly was bored and got into plenty of trouble. Within a five-year period, she moved through the statistics of being a pregnant teen bride, abused wife, and single parent.

She learned about Jesus as a child in Sunday school, but met Him personally as a broke and broken single mother of two rambunctious preschoolers. Drawing closer to Christ, her compassion increased. Seeing Him meet her little trio's needs each day, her faith exploded.

Kelly enrolled her daughter in a Christian school. She wasn’t sure how she’d pay the tuition, but knew that’s what the Lord wanted her to do, so she obeyed. That’s where she met Jerry, the handsome, single principal.

Jerry asked her out in November and they were married the following November. They had each been divorced, so getting married was another step of faith. Statistics say second marriages often fail, but she's happy to report that they have celebrated over 30 wedding anniversaries!

Together, Kelly and Jerry have worked in various ministries in the community and at church, including a single parent ministry.

She shares the lessons God teaches her so others won’t repeat her mistakes. No one benefits when we wear masks, so she tries to keep it real. Kelly likes to say that everyone has skeletons in their closets, but her closets don't have doors on them!

To explore the books she's contributed to, order her memoir Praying for Murder, Receiving Mercy, From At-Risk to At Peace, My Journey from Fear to Freedom, listen to her testimony on Focus on the Family or hear a dramatization of God’s story in her life from the “UNSHACKLED!” radio program, please visit her website, http://www.kellystigliano.com.

Kelly says, "Life is like a whitewater rafting ride. You never know what’s up ahead, but you know you’re not alone. So just hang on tight, let the spray of God’s goodness wash over you, and enjoy the ride!"

It is my pleasure to recommend to you the ministry of Kelly Stigliano. Over the years I have seen her compassionate and dedicated touch on people’s lives and she’s always been a huge blessing. While I was her Pastor in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, she was always ready and willing to serve wherever needed and her warm smile and personality endeared her to everyone she touched. Though we are separated today by many miles, I consider her a close and faithful servant of the Lord. You will be blessed to have her share! Dr. Kenneth Keene Trinity Assembly of God Columbus, Ohio

I had the opportunity to hear Kelly at a yearly seminar sponsored by North East Florida Health Information Management for professionals in this or related fields. Kelly had the attention of the group from the beginning and held it throughout her session. She was very real with the group and her points were applicable to those in attendance. She was refreshing and encouraging. Kelly conveyed her faith in a very concise and accurate manner as she explained how her faith kept her going and how God had directed her life. She did an excellent presentation of how our faith and our purpose in life are intertwined

Kelly Stigliano was the guest speaker for our September 2022 CWF Women's Retreat in Safety Harbor, Florida. She was absolutely wonderful! She kept us laughing (or crying) and completely engaged each time she spoke with our group. She was simply captivating, whether speaking to the group or one-on-one with one of our retreat attendees. Her story of survival and redemption is remarkable; a story of encouragement all ladies should hear. We would HIGHLY recommend Kelly as a Christian speaker for all groups.

Everyone enjoyed Kelly”s personal story of her former life. She added humor along with the sad parts as she told the difficult years. Everyone liked her mingling with the large group of women talking with each one personally. I was pleased the way she wove in the good news message among many unchurched ladies. She’s professional with her presentation and radiates the love of God.

Kelly Stigliano gave our group a very inspiring description of the abusive marriage she was able to leave. During her talk, Kelly also shared some amazing statistics regarding the large number of women/men who are trapped in abusive relationships. Kelly is a wonderful speaker. Her Christmas message for our Women’s Advent Dinner was just what we needed to hear. Kelly kept us engaged by sharing her personal Christmas stories of her transformation from a lonely young mother in an abusive marriage to a single mother trying to make ends meet to a Christian mother who understood the true gift of Jesus. She had us laughing and teary as we pondered our own Christmas stories. She helped us to remember what is truly important at Christmas and throughout the year. We left feeling joyful and uplifted. She is a natural speaker and a loving Christian woman.

Kelly is a long-time friend and co-ministry leader. I had the privilege of hearing Kelly speak on two different occasions where I heard another part of her testimony. I was amazed by the woman I knew Kelly to be vs the woman that once was. Her life story proclaimed the Gospel of Christ so beautifully. Kelly shares just enough of her story so that God gets the glory. She interjects humor to emphasize that there can be laughter through the pain. Her life story and lessons learned are completely relatable to so many women, from many walks of life. Kelly gives a clear message of hope, strength and transformation found in her loving Lord, Jesus Christ. She, indeed, keeps it real. It was a blessing to hear her speak.

Kelly has spoken to our club numerous times, sharing the value of chosing self respect, abstinence, and accepting the love of Christ in her experience. Since this is a public school group, the talk could not actually evangelize, but she did share her experience.

Rhonda Carmichael, Oakleaf Baptist Ladies’ Ministry Committee Member

We had the awesome opportunity to have Kelly speak for our Annual Christmas Brunch in 2017. Kelly took a familiar Christmas story by Charles Dickens and used it as an outline to give a timely correlation of her own testimony as well as life situations that many could identify. Kelly speaks in a clear, easy to understand tone and kept the attention of the 120 in attendance with her Christmas devotion. It was apparent that she was touching hearts due to the silence and from some who were wiping away tears. Kelly left each person with the Hope they could have in turning their lives over the Savior–Jesus Christ. We are looking for future opportunities to have Kelly come back to Oakleaf. Kelly interacted with the ladies before and after the event which helped the ladies to connect with her. She truly was an inspiration to many and gave a clear gospel presentation. I highly recommend Kelly to anyone seeking a speaker with a testimony and walk that reflects a true Christian lifestyle.
