Curtis Clark, Senior Pastor

It is my privilege to recommend Barbara Peters for your event. I have known Barbara and her husband Patrick for eight years and know that her heart is to passionately love God with all of her heart, mind and soul. Barbara is not just someone who talks about life with Christ, but lives it out daily. Barbara and Patrick have been actively involved in our church family serving in many different capacities of ministry. Barbara and Patrick teach a youth Sunday School class mentoring young men and women and challenging them to integrate their Christian faith into all areas of their life. She has supported her husband Patrick as he has lead in our music and worship ministries for many years, and as he serves as a deacon. Barbara’s book, Adulterous Heart, is a clear, compelling cry to allow God to build a pure heart in us that loves God more than anything else. I know that Barbara’s great desire in life is to serve her God and to love Him with a pure heart....

I would like the readers of the Christian Women's Speakers site and for you to know the influence you have had in my walk with Christ: I grew up going to church and attended several Christian schools but no one had ever presented the Bible the way that Mrs. Peters did. She knew the background and context of all the scriptures we discussed. She asked questions in a way that made one want to understand the Bible the way God intended in Sunday School class but also on our own time. It wasn't only in the teaching style that made Mrs. Peters so effective but also, how active Christ was in her everyday life and in her marriage. Thank you again for thinking of me and asking for my input. I hope I was of help and am truly grateful for all of the time and care you put into our Sunday School class. I still remember vividly some of the lessons you and Mr. Peters taught us. Honestly, it was your Sunday School class that showed me what it meant to study the Bible.
