Stacy Gleiss is a former atheist turned Christian author, speaker and apologist, whose love of nature and curious, philosophic approach to her faith has led her to embrace the Holy Spirit in a winsome, free-flowing way that focuses on the good and beautiful which ultimately leads to our truth.
=====
Stacy Gleiss spent her early adult years mired in the pagan traditions and "guilt/shame" culture of rural Japan before coming to faith in her mid-forties. Her resume includes a dozen years living as a Japanese housewife, a degree in philosophy from the University of Michigan, time working as a Japanese interpreter in the automotive industry and a long career in corporate training. She's developed and taught hundreds of courses on topics ranging from very technical to philosophical. She is a commissioned Colson Center apologist.
Stacy has a folksy, relatable style that engages and captivates. She speaks on everyday discipleship and "communing with the spirit" while revealing bits of her personal testimony. Additionally, Stacy offers a "Mind Hike" cultural apologetic program complete with a workbook that is suitable for retreats and workshops. She is also the author of "The Six-Foot Bonsai- A Soul Lost in the Land of the Rising Sun" and has appeared on the "Side B Stories" podcast and as a cast member in the "Listen to Your Mother" series.
Currently she resides in northern Michigan where she operates Philosophy in the Forest-- a mission dedicated to "cultural apologetics" (pre-evangalism) for people of all faiths. Her influences are C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton and the existential Christian philosopher Soren Kierkegaard.
