Barbara Stuart, DRS PhD

Founder & Coordinator of Faith Restoration Ministries Int'l [FRM], and Faith Restoration Bible Institute Inc.

Dr. Stuart began her working experience as a nurse in the United Kingdom, and later became a certified high school teacher.

Dr. Stuart was inspired to combine her background experiences from her former professions to an area of study, which presented a greater opportunity to give better service in helping people deal with social problems and interpersonal conflicts. Realizing how easily conflicts occur in relationships, the workplace, and church communities, and the importance of good camaraderie among individuals, compelled her to pursue learning enabling her to communicate those human social skills that would refine and improve professional and interpersonal interactions. She is a natural teacher and counsellor who take pleasure in promoting professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in every area of life.

Education

With this in mind, Dr. Stuart began a course of doctoral studies in Conflict Management with Trinity Theological College and Seminary, I for the Doctor of Religious Studies Degree [DRS]. She conducted a research using Case Studies with four Christian Women, along with vignettes from others, to find out how those women dealt with the discovery of infidelity, and what methods they used to overcome the conflict associated with such behaviour. The theme was [Wives who remained with their Unfaithful Husbands], which resulted in the publication of Betrayal of Sacred Trust originally published in 2005. This text has now been re-named The Institution of Marriage. Dr. Stuart recently published the research for this study.

She later earned a PhD in Christian Counselling Psychology from Southwest Bible College and Seminary, [The Purpose for Counseling in the Christian Church was the topic for Research]. Including are credits in Christian Counselling from Liberty University. and MEd Degree, from Cambridge College, Thesis – Case Studies on [Women in Retirement]. Teachers Certificate at Erdiston Teachers’ College. Research involved a comparison of the self-concept of a fifth form Business students and a fifth form Science students in a particular Newer Secondary School in Barbados.

Additionally, Dr. Stuart earned certificates in Mediation, Understanding Workplace Culture and Change, Group Problem Solving and Decision-Making, Project Management and Organization, Mastering Meetings, Research & Proposal Writing; from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Cultural Diversity Initiatives: Healing & Spirituality within Diverse Cultures, Ministering to Dying and Bereaved Persons; from Caritas Christi Health Care System.

Dr. Stuart is a professional with training, program development, leadership, and organizational skills. She is an active Public Speaker, with an excellent interpersonal attitude towards diversity. She has worked as Volunteer Co-Mediator in Summary Cases (Dorchester District Court) with Mediation Works, Inc. Boston. She earned the Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor [LCPC] certificate from the National Christian Counselors Association [NCCA].

Ministry

Dr. Stuart has an International ministry, ministering through SKYPE and internet radio with programs pertaining to families who are having problems, and those with marital issues. Her aim is to secure the Christian marriage the way God intended it to be, and for its longevity among those who respect the word of God. As a Servant of the Lord, Dr. Stuart takes her calling to minister very seriously. She is a writer with several published inspirational and educational texts available @ Amazon.com.

She has spent her life working in the service of the Lord in various capacities in and out of churches. She has worked as Associate Pastor in several churches. Presently, she works with her own ministry which has been going for over 14 years. She has worked with  Women in Power,  developed programs and coordinated for Women's Ministry, Sunday School Program Coordinator, & Teacher, and held the position of Superintendent.

Dr. Stuart has been a Student Advisor and Freshman Seminar Leader. Her leadership and innovative skills include: Seminar Leader and Workshop Presenter; Conceptualized, Coordinated and Developed Programs for Workshop Presentations; Co-founder of Women's Support Group and Counselling Program; Established Student Internship Program;.

She has been guest and keynote speaker at numerous conferences, prepared workshop materials, and conducted conflict management training for supervisors. She has co-mediated at the Dorchester Court in MA on landlord and tenant issues.
