Shannon desires for women to find freedom in surrendering to Christ, not only for salvation but throughout the daily struggles we all face.  She loves the Word of God and her teachings flow from that love.  She takes the profound truths of Scripture and makes them applicable to her listeners in practical ways.  She helped give our ladies language to assess their hearts and reminded us of the hope we have in Jesus.   The fragrance of Christ is known when she is around.

Shannon is Biblically based and related well to the women! We saw practical application as well as added knowledge - a perfect fit for a camp retreat! She also interacted so well with the women, we didn't feel like she was "better than us" which we really appreciated!

Shannon came to KBC to do a mini-retreat as a follow-up to our Women's study of her book, "Comparison Girl." I loved Shannon's openness and honesty on the struggles that she and women face in our lives to try to live Me-free in this Measure-up world. Shannon did a great job of relating to a wide-range of ages (12-80). Our ladies were blessed to have Shannon share from God's Word how we can pour out our lives into others rather than focusing on the lines and seeing how we measure up.

I have had the privilege of hearing Shannon speak & interacting with her on 2 occasions, & both times, I have been blessed by her honest, loving way of communicating & sharing the love of Jesus - on & off stage alike! She is professional, but so relatable, and is a joy to work with on the details involved with preparations for her visit (as is her Ministry Assistant, Erika!) Her books are engaging & reflective of the beautiful heart of the woman who wrote them. Our ladies at our recent retreat had only great things to say about Shannon. I highly recommend Shannon as a wise & wonderful choice for your next ladies' retreat or conference!

Excellent women's conference speaker! Shannon is genuine, relatable, and biblically grounded. Her love and care for women was evident as she spoke on "Control Girl" and also chatted and prayed with women between sessions. She really challenged the ladies to surrender whatever God might be calling them to surrender and to walk away taking simple, active steps to change and apply what they had learned. Shannon was a joy to work with, and we would highly recommend her as a speaker.

Shannon Popkin is a speaker who keeps her audience engaged while delivering challenging concepts to ponder. The message is delivered in such a way that was clearly understood by young and old alike, and hit us in a way that we could all relate to in her kind, loving style. Her stories, analogies and Biblical references were spot on with tangible ways to live these concepts out in our everyday lives.

Shannon is so easy to relate to! Her authenticity and humble attitude bring us to a place of common ground where the Lord can move! The event she did with us was very powerful, especially at the end when we all surrendered something, wrote it down and took the index card to the altar. So powerful! Shannon approaches topics that get to the root of women’s anger, fear and frustration and she has greatly influenced my life. Thank you, Jesus!

Denise Perry - Womens Retreat Director

Shannon was the keynote speaker for our Fall Womens Retreat. During this weekend, 500 women heard her speak at 4 general sessions and two morning devotionals. Her content from her book,CONTROL GIRL, blended perfectly with our theme of Surrender. Shannon’s biblical knowledge, coupled with a sense of humor, warmth yet professionalism proved to be a winning combination. Prior to our event, Shannon was an absolute joy to work with. She made herself very assessable and was quick to respond to any communication request I had. One of our core values at SpringHill is that we are relationally focused. Shannon emulated this value and made herself available throughout the weekend far beyond the podium and merchandise table. She enjoyed spending time with the women at meals, the concert, and other activities on and around the property. It is with great joy that I recommend Shannon Popkin as a speaker to your event ~ you will be blessed in the process of ministering together.

Our ladies loved our evening with Shannon! She’s warm, approachable and willing to share lessons learned from her own life experiences. She challenged us to examine our lives in the area of control through the story of Eve and exhorted us to stop trying to control people and things in our lives. Our attempts at control creates conflict not peace. I think every woman could relate to Shannon’s message and went away more aware of her bent to control and manipulate. The answer is trust God! Surrendering all those areas we seek to control and entrusting them to Him. He is worthy of our trust!

Dear Leader, I’m so thankful for your sweet service to our Lord, and your desire to lead others to follow Him more closely. Your job is so important!
