God designed each woman to be a beautifully wrapped gift to her family. Yet many times, we’re the reverse of this. We might have pretty packaging, but on the inside, we’re...

Dear Leader, I’m so thankful for your sweet service to our Lord, and your desire to lead others to follow Him more closely. Your job is so important! Especially as we talk about moving in a new direction: from Control Girls to Jesus Girls. As we study the stories of seven controlling women in the Bible, we’ll be looking for two things: Warnings and lessons for ourselves.New insights about God. Yet our goal is broader than just knowing new things. We want to turn in a new direction because we see and know and believe what is true. And what is true about this subject of control?...

Reflections on Surrender is an adult coloring book, filled with truth about control, ourselves, and God–messages that closely correlate with my new book, Control Girl . While you don’t have to work through the Bible study to enjoy the coloring book, we thought it might be nice to offer them as compliments to each other. God never intended you to carry the burden of trying to control everything. Though most of us would agree God is in control, we find ourselves living as if he needed a little assistance from us. Let us entice you to a different perspective. Inside these pages,...

These cards are meant to help build a bridge between what we say we believe and the way we actually live. It’s nearly impossible to stop rising panic, anxiety, or anger in the heat of the moment. We have to back up and retrain our hearts beforehand to respond correctly to the things we’d like to control. As Control Girls, we need to meditate on truths that help settle our hearts. Then, when we face situations which would ordinarily send us into a Control Girl tailspin our hearts more readily fly to the truth. Little fights with your husband and kids. Unhappiness when things don’t match your version of perfect. Tension, anger, fear, anxiety–it all begins with a heart that craves control. When your perspective of how life should go replaces God’s, you doom your quest for security, peace, and joy before it even starts. Thankfully, there is a better way. Join Shannon as she shares what she has discovered about her own control struggles and about God from studying seven Control Girls in the Bible. Whether it was Eve’s desire to know instead of trust, Sarah’s inability...

I am not one to give all highest marks, but Shannon really deserves it. She used Scripture to back-up her message, she spent time with the ladies on retreat between sessions, she was open and honest. Her humility and desire to serve were beautiful. I highly recommend you invite her to your next Women's event.

When Shannon spoke on “Control Girl”, she described my life and my eyes were opened to my controlling ways. God’s Word flowed through Shannon in such a gentle, loving, and relatable way that my heart was soft and open for such sweet conviction. I will forever be grateful for how God’s hand worked in my life when Shannon spoke.

We had Shannon speak at one of our events and really appreciated her vulnerability as she shared her own story of control. She was easy to relate to and I found myself challenge and encouraged by what she shared. It's clear Shannon loves God, has a deep relationship with Him and desires others to have that as well.
