To believe is empowering. To dream is the beginning of wisdom. But, to believe in your dream gives you the freedom of being who you are meant to be.

More About Lovia Larkin

There is more to a life that can be put on a page,

living and loving, laughter and rage.

falling and rising within each stage

but in all giving Him praise.

There are a few things that I can say that I have a love for from my earliest memories, three of those things are Jesus, being creative and the smell of horse manure.  I know that last one is a little off, but let me explain.  I am and always have been a "Daddy's Little Girl."  That encompasses me from first knowing my earthly father's love to then finding the great and abiding love that my heavenly Father has for me.  My daddy loved horses.  We spent many hours riding, grooming and mucking and in that time I felt his love for me and he began to explain God's great love for me.

I am the youngest of seven children.  I was raised in a Christian home, in a very un-Christian area.  We were a Christian family living in a small Mormon community.  We were the only family that I knew of who didn't have at least one member who attended the LDS church.  That experience has given me a different perspective I think than many.  It also offered many character building, reliance and empowering experiences.  Faith, hope and humor were born from those experiences.

I am 50 years old.  I have been married for 30 years.  I have one child, but have gone through the painful growth experience of loosing three to miscarriage.  I began working at the age of ten and have consistently worked, whether for an employer, myself or in volunteer services since that time.  Writing has been a passion of mine since grade school as well as crafting and creating.

I was finally diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1999, after many years of searching for the source of my physical issues.  The diagnosis opened up my life in a way that I would not have imagined!  I consider it a blessing and not a curse.  Don't misunderstand me, there a many days that I don't relish, but I have come to cherish each one.  Having MS has afforded me the ability to speak with so many individuals and love on them.  My God is an AWESOME God!
