Having survived horrific abuse, depression and a suicide attempt, Sherrie Allsup now speaks at conferences, trains police officers, and is the founder of “Courage Starts With You.” She brings Gods healing and grace, shining a light on the epidemic of abuse, while bringing hope to hurting women everywhere.

Sherrie is a survivor of long-term sexual abuse and assault as a child.
As a result of her many years of abuse, she is now combating a continuing diagnosis of Complex PTSD. Sherrie is challenged every day to manage her past and has moved from victim to survivor to thriver. She is now begun to focusing on the next chapter of her life. Sherrie is sharing her insight and experience to assist other victims with their transition to become survivors. She is a lecturer, an educator, and an advocate on the topics of sexual assualt, sexual abuse, victims rights and Gods healing.
Sherrie is the founder of “Courage Starts With You” She travels and shares her story of horrific abuse, depression, suicide attempt and Gods healing and grace.
Sherrie is a member of RAINN (Rape, Abuse, Incest, and Neglect Network). She is also the ambassador for the state of Kansas for NAASCA (National Association Adult Survivors of Child Abuse.
Sherrie is a member of Journey Church, Corpus Christi, Texas
She and her husband Gary have a homeless street mission in Corpus Christi. Each week, they go to the streets and live life with homeless men and women. They share Gods love, grace and hope, as well as suppling provisions that many of us take for granted, such as underwear, bras, socks and hygiene.
