More About Martha Newcomb

Martha Newcomb is a composer/artist, podcaster, and speaker who addresses the inner hurts and hang-ups many Christian women encounter using biblical approaches to inner healing. Issues that Martha addresses are addiction, recovery, trauma, forgiveness, and the spiritual dilemma of identity crisis in women today. Her background in psychology and mental health, equips her to address these delicate subjects of the woman's mind and spirit both psychologically and theologically.

I grew up in church! I knew the language, I knew how to act like a Christian, I knew that Jesus was my savior, but I didn’t make him Lord of my life until the age of sixteen!  I was “the great pretender!” However, it was not until the age of 16, and almost killed by a gang member that I would call upon the name of the Lord on December 31,1996.

It was through almost being murdered, that I had a powerful encounter with God, and my life would be forever changed.

It was through a long process of inner healing from sexual abuse, domestic violence, drugs, hurtful relationships, and learning safe boundaries, as well as learning my identity in Christ, that God would transform me to the woman I am today. 

Today, I am  happily married to a Godly man and blessed with three beautiful children. After suffering through much adversity, God has used my struggles to help women in recovery and learn their identity in Christ! Yes, I lived a life of much pain, but Jesus saved me and healed me! I am a new creation in Him! God has turned my pain into my passion! Now, my passion is to help other women learn who they are in Christ and find healing and rest through him!

My prayer for those who listen to my teachings on Scripture is that it is when we share our hurts or faults with God, and truly surrender them to him, that our healing can begin. It is when we reveal what it hidden in the dark, and bring it to light, when our deliverance begins!Martha Newcomb
