I love hearing Nancy speak! She tells stories of her and her family's lives and it makes her so relatable. She inspires us to trust God in All situations and to live a Grace filled life.
Nancy is a valued friend. As a Bible study leader in our church for over ten years, she has shown that she has a firm grasp of Biblical knowledge and principles that she relates in effective ways by using everyday experiences. Nancy has been a respected speaker at Manhattan Christian College's annual Woman's World conference for several years. She has presented "Stressed or Blessed?" and "Grace--How Sweet It Is!" Nancy and I have partnered in ministry for more than 40 years. During that time, we have served the Lord together in a variety of settings and in a variety of countries. These two things have been constant: Nancy has an abiding faith in Christ and a desire to see people grow in their relationship with Christ. For the past several years, God has given her a heart to minister to women through teaching the Word. She is a gifted teacher and that is coupled with gifts of compassion and encouragement. Having planned several retreats for my church, I've come to realize quite well all the details that go into them. Nancy was such a joy to work with and made my responsibility easier. I appreciated her willingness to work with ideas I had for retreat and how clearly she communicated the kinds of interactions she'd like to have with our ladies. Nancy's experience in working with women's ministries and revitalizing them was a source of personal inspiration and encouragement. Humble - that is the word I would use to describe Nancy's speaking style. She shares from both her joys and trials. Making herself transparent makes her personable. Her times of speaking were very encouraging and convicting. Hearts were shared, a few tears shed, and we grew to know others more intimately. Several ladies expressed their appreciation of having Nancy as our speaker. I came away from our time together feeling encouraged, relaxed, and more at peace. I know others did too.
