Dr. Phillis Dewitt is an author, speaker and former foster parent of over 100 children. Through audience engagement, visual aides, and inspiring stories, she walks audiences through trauma and abuse to find freedom, hope and a deep knowing that God wants to take your junk and use your story for His glory.

Phillis Dewitt DNP, FNP-BC, CNSc has her doctorate degree in nursing. She is a board-certified clinical nurse specialist and a board-certified family nurse practitioner, She teaches at several universities in their graduate nursing programs, travels internationally providing medical care for vulnerable populations, and has been a foster parent to over 100 children, She currently serves on the board of directors for the Illinois 10th Judicial Court CASA, she is the president of a non for profit that raises money for cancer patients who are enrolled in clinical trials, she has been the recipient of many awards for her work with victims of trauma and abuse. She is a published author who has spoken internationally about her book on turning pain into passion. She and her husband lead teams to India and Romania where they work with victims of trauma and abuse. They have also started a medical clinic in India where they work with girls who have been rescued from human trafficking. She has the ability to use her life to encourage and motivate those who have gone through abuse, trauma, or grief.
