Elizabeth A. Scott spent her life dedicated to healthcare. When her middle child was in a near-fatal auto accident on 12/29/10 and sustained six traumatic brain (TBI) injuries (any one of which should have killed her) she left healthcare employment to devote full time to caring for her critically-ill daughter, she discovered the resources were few and far between. Navigating this path to recovery became frustrating as well as confusing. TBI was not an area she had worked in. Because there is much misinformation and misunderstanding about TBI and how it impacts the patient and family, each turn in the road was bewildering.
YANKEE 794 TRAUMA - A Journey Through Traumatic Brain Injury: Hope and Recovery (2016) found on Amazon, Kindle, Books-A-Million and Barnes & Noble websites is about the journey she walked with her daughter and tells of her miracle recovery when the prognosis was grave at best. The story then takes detour as Elizabeth (not one but) two medical emergencies -- each a journey first from Stage 4 Cancer and later from a deadly neurotic bowel, which nearly took her life in 2013.
Each step along their journey God brought miracles into each of their lives and this book is all about Miracles from God and how in the darkest moments God can bring Light to show the way.
Her true-life inspirational & compelling message of faith, love and belief in God, will rock your world with its compelling message.
