From the top of a mountain I cried out to God, "Where do I go from here?" I begged for a clear answer to this question. My marriage had crumbled before my eyes and my hope was devastated. I looked out across a vast valley below as I stood alone at the top of a mountain. And in the stillness I heard Him say, "you must go back down through the valley."
In order to save my marriage God asked me to re-enter the shadows of the valley below, both literally and figuratively. I wasn't guaranteed safety, nor was I promised a bypass from further emotional pain. But I knew that no matter what, He would not leave my side. His directive as clear. The only way out of my dark struggle was "through" and back into the valley I descended.
This is a story of God's redeeming grace upon me and His rescue of my marriage that was just almost too far gone.
