I love how the word of God falls fresh on us when we are still long enough for it to do so. I was struck by David's words in Psalms 27. He speaks of the "one" thing. Listen to his words; "One thing, I ask of the Lord, this only do I seek, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, go gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple." Do you see it? It's the one thing. The one thing for Him was to seek the Lord. Not only is it the one thing, he says it's the only thing. And yet we go through our days trying to fit so much in, trying to accomplish all these things on our list, except the very one thing, the only thing that promises life to us, to seek Him. Jeremiah 29:13-14 "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart. I will be found by you declares the Lord." The promise that is He is there when we seek Him.
