Developing healthy, authentic multiethnic relationships does not happen by chance. In our racially divided world, we need the power of the cross to be our guide if we are to truly love one another. In this talk, we will discuss the practices of building intentional relationships with those who are ethnically different. Let’s take a step back in time to John chapter four, a story where Jesus had an intentional encounter and began an intentional relationship with someone much different than himself. Because of the care and commitment he showed, this woman had a revelation of Christ that changed her entire village. Though many Christians are familiar with this story., most have not unpackaged their preconceived rights nor uncovered the profound revelations that tackle our race wars and can compel us to love one another as deeply as Jesus has loved us . . . people who are very different than he is.
