I believe that organization starts from the inside out. To the extent that we have a good understanding of our life's purpose and desired outcomes, our priorities will be clearer, and we will be better equipped to evaluate our schedules and organize our spaces. As Annie Dillard says, "How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives." We cannot end up with a life we want without living our days in pursuit of that life.
