In Judges 6-7, the bible tells one of my favorite stories. Most likely, it is because I see how God did some of the same things in this passage in my own life.
Gideon is addressed by the Angel of the Lord as a mighty warrior. Many times in my life as I felt like such a nobody, God called me out as a mighty warrior to serve His call and His purpose. Along the way, God has stripped away "my army" of people that would do me no good as He has His way in my life. And, because I began to be obedient to what He asked me to do, I gained confidence and He has won many battles on my behalf.
