We choose to believe we cannot overcome and won't ever get over our addictions to smoking, food, drugs, shopping, alcohol, collecting stuff, sex, and more.
God's truth is that He gives us the power.
Fear tells us that we will never have enough or be good enough, but if we offer our addiction as a sacrifice to God, He will give us the power to overcome!
Fear is a Liar, a song by Zach Williams, reminds me of this truth every time I hear it. I sing it with all my heart because I know those lies and that fear. I've experienced the power of God to overcome it too.
