Empowered, Invinsible, Unstoppable: Embracing Healthy Teen Dating
Approximately 1 in 5 female high school students reported being physically and/or sexually abused by a dating partner.
24% of college freshmen and sophomores reported extremely violent, such as rape or the use of weapons against them.
Surveys over the last five years have revealed a startling trend that supports that teen dating violence and dating violence on college campuses are increasing at an alarming rate with more incidents of critical injury and death. Young women in dating situations are at imminent risk because many are unprepared for the realities of the dating paradigm and how to deal with toxic situations. This presentation provides critical information teen and college students needed to increase awareness of toxic relationships and prepare attendees to pursue and embrace happy, healthy dating connections.
