Eat at His Table! Hungering for More of Jesus

Ps. 37:4   shares: “Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!” (NLT)
The ERV Bible says, “Give the Lord a chance to show you how good He is. Great blessings belong to those who depend on Him!”

In this Talk, you will learn that Jesus taught us a lot from the Table! We see Him visiting others and sharing a meal in their homes. We see Him teaching His disciples about the fellowship of Communion. We also see where Jesus overturned some tables! John 2:15, says “So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.” The Greek word for “overturn” is ana-trep-ō, which means disrupting! Jesus will disrupt and interrupt our faulty thinking patterns, sinful habits, and harmful behaviors at the Table! Because He doesn’t want anything to come between the sacred relationship, He desires to have with YOU! He will re-open your heart and heal the closed parts of your heart that are shut down from deep hurt, disappointment, betrayal, rejection, and shame.

 BUT God!

He only has His BEST intentions in store for you! So, let’s choose to hunger and thirst for His righteousness, and He will gently lead you as He does His sheep. John 10:11 says, “He is a good Shepherd! and He lays down His life for His sheep.” He can be TRUSTED when He creates change and transformation in your life!

So, how do we, day after day, continue to stay passionate and hungry for Jesus? You see, our great need for His loving presence and dealing with the pain in our life makes our time more intentional and focused! Really, where else, and who else could we go to to FILL OUR DEEPEST DESIRES, satisfy our souls, and create beauty and joy from ashes? Have you realized yet that HE IS your EVERYTHING, your sustenance, nourishment, and very next breath?! Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35 (NIV)
