Do you think you need to have the gift of evangelism to share the Gospel? I grew up in church but the funny thing was that I didn't know Jesus was a living Savior and He had a wonderful plan for my life! I was told that fact for the first time at thirty nine years old right after I spent a month in a locked up ward where I was going to take my life. I had so much abuse in my life since I was a child that I wish I knew Jesus was right there with me but no one told me. I started to realize that many Christians do wonderful ministries in the Body of Christ but hesitate telling others about the love of Jesus and what He has done in their life.
God started bringing strangers into my life when I least expected it, I shared the love of Christ and their life changed. Twenty years went by and I finally decided to let people see how it is not their work but the Lord's so I wrote about it. He actually brings them into your path, has prepared them to hear what YOU have to say and will continue in their lives with His purpose for them. My first 'divine appointment' was on the Geraldo Rivera television show. I was asked to speak on the victims of violence organization I started in MA call "Victims for Victims". I was a guest along with a very violent rapist! During the show God took away my fear and PTSD, had me go up to Angel after the show and lead him to the Lord! Six months after that show he was on Geraldo again and this time he said "I use to be a rapist, I haven't hurt a women in six months!" That was in 1991. I was so excited at what just happened that the Lord send me many more over the years. I love sharing in my book about the twelve strangers who the Lord brought right to me! One was my cancer doctor, one was a young veteran who served his country twice, another was a women in prison, two were men, one in Puerto Rico and the other in Hawaii who both were contemplating taking their lives!
