When we measure ourselves – our appearance, our homes, our parenting, our relationships, our success, our worth – against the standards of the world we are measuring ourselves against superficial values and customs. And when we let these superficial values be our measuring stick we will surely not measure up. We will fall short. But God has a different set of standards, and these standards are rooted in truth, love, and grace.
In this talk we examine the lies we often tell ourselves when being judged against the world’s standards, and compare that to the Truth of God’s word.
