I've got an Arise story that's filled with resilience, faith, and grace. From wading through the challenges of a tough childhood, an unplanned pregnancy, to losing my 32 year husband and 7 old son in a boating accident, followed 72 days after their tragic loss with the news of my 58 year old father's untimely death. I have experienced extra-ordinary loss and trials on this earth but God has been faithful to me. I've learned firsthand that God has a plan and His love can carry us through the darkest of storms.
When I think about my journey, I can't help but hear echoes of Nehemiah, that faithful builder of walls in ancient Jerusalem. My husband and I were blessed with the opportunity to join Midway's Mission Team last Summer ('23) and walk the pages of the Bible where Nehemiah prayed and trusted God for an unknown future. Like Nehemiah, I've seen how God can take broken pieces and rebuild them into something beautiful, shining His light through the shattered vessel.
I'm most passionate about sharing the message of hope—the kind of hope that's comforting full of God's Grace and Promise to each of us. It's the kind of hope that whispers, "Hold on tight because God's got great plans for you."

Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Isaiah 43:2 - "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."
Nehemiah 8:10 - "...for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
Psalm 30:5 - "Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning."
Psalm 34:18 - "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Romans 15:13 - "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
