Ephesians 1:5 (NLT) "God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure."
Having worked for many years with foster care and adoptions and also as an adoptive mother of many, this topic rings through Kim's speaking, heart, and passion. Kim always reminds her children that although she has adopted them, it is their choice to adopt her (& her husband) back as parents. The same goes with our relationship with God. God has adopted us to Him but adoption is a two-way relationship. Yes, God has adopted us but have we adopted God back?
Be reminded of who you are to God. Walk through the gospel of salvation and come to the foot of the cross on this journey to embrace, accept, and adopt our Heavenly Father in response to His great love for us.
