More About Jackie McKool

Dr. Jackie McKool is a speaker, author, and teacher of wholistic health and wellness. Come enjoy her energy, passion and humor, and leave inspired and empowered as she unveils the confusion, myths and deception that prevent women from achieving true health and wellness.

======

Dr. McKool spent 10 years in the wholistic health field as a chiropractic physician in Charleston, SC. She specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of internal disorders. She worked in various natural health capacities for over 20 years, doctoring, speaking, writing and teaching about wholistic health and wellness.

Jackie has been passionate about wholistic health & wellness since God delivered her in 1996 from an addiction to alcohol and the whole bar life.  He pulled her out of the miry clay and set her feet on a new path – a wholistic path of health & healing.  She believes with all her heart & soul that God has called her to speak, teach and write on the truths about wholistic health and wellness, with the purpose of glorifying Him.

Dr. McKool spent 10 years in the wholistic health and wellness field as a chiropractic physician in Charleston, SC.  With over 300 hours of post-doctorate work, she is a board certified chiropractic internist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of internal disorders.  Dr. McKool is one of less than 500 worldwide, board certified Chiropractic Internists with a focus on Internal Disorders.  Upon moving to North Carolina she worked in the natural products industry in multiple health food stores for 3 years.

 Dr. Jackie is certified with the John Maxwell Team as a coach, teacher and speaker.   She has also served as a trained minister for several Christian healing ministries:  Cleansing Stream, a healing ministry program founded by Dr. Jack Hayford; and the International Healing Rooms Ministries founded by Rev. Cal Pierce.  She has also studied under Dr. Mark Virkler, founder of Christian Leadership University and Communion with God Ministries.

 Dr. McKool has been a member of Toastmasters International (TI) since 2009.  She has her Competent Communicator and Competent Leader designations and is slated to complete her first Pathway soon under TI’s new format.   She has served in a variety of leadership roles within her Toastmasters Club over the years and is currently holding the position of President of her Club.  She was a breakout session facilitator for the District Conference in South Carolina, as well as an instructor for one of the breakout sessions at a Toastmasters Leadership Institute session.  She came in 3rd place in 2023 for the District 37 Table Topics contest.

 Dr. Jackie has written columns in the past for local newspapers in the towns where she lived, as well as was a monthly wholistic health contributor for a local radio station in her community.

 In addition to wholistic health & wellness, Dr. Jackie ran in 3 Marine Corp Marathons in her 40’s, the Princess Disney ½ marathon at 51, and one ½ marathon mountain trail race (one was enough!) at 59 years old. She loves being in God’s creation outdoors jogging, walking, hiking, biking and kayaking – but her greatest outdoor enjoyment is backpacking.  She claims she was “born to be outside!”  To date she has completed over 2,000 miles backpacking on the Appalachian Trail (AT) that runs from Georgia to Maine.   She started section-hiking the AT at age 54, with less than 115 miles to go, her goal is to complete the Trail in its entirety by 2024, she will be 65 years old.  Look for her next book that is already brewing pertaining to her adventures on the AT!

Doctor Jackie strives to live out her life wholistically, by continually learning and growing with the hope of being an example and encouragement to others that God has a purpose for their lives and that their health is in their control.

 She lives in western North Carolina with her fur baby cat KoKo.
