It would be easier for me to tell you all the things that I am not, rather than all the things I am. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the point of an “about me” section. For the sake of conformity, here are some things that define me.
I am a wife. I think I am a good wife and my husband would mostly agree. I met Philip 28 years ago on a vacation to Pennsylvania. I married him. Our relationship has been more than I dreamed. I love doing life with this man.
I am a mother of four children. Sometimes my kids are amazing and sometimes they are not. I write about all of it (with their permission).
I love Jesus. When I was 17, Jesus rocked my world and brought me out of a place of dark desperation. My life dramatically changed in a decision of surrender. I have wavered and sometimes fallen, but God has passionately pursued me. For that, I am eternally thankful. Heaven is going to be awesome. I hope you will join me there.
I love my church. I will not apologize for being a firm believer in the role of the local church. It is not organized religion…it is family. My growth, my ministry, and my family are firmly grounded in the love, encouragement, and accountability we find at The Bridge Community Church.
I am a firm believer in friendship. I am a true extrovert. I love people and always have room and time for new friendships. I am a better wife, mother, and friend because of the women who have chosen to be in relationship with me.
I am passionate about women and families walking in freedom and wholeness. Life is hard…I mean really, really hard and our enemy is out to destroy everything we hold dear. My desire is to speak and write truth that allows the Holy Spirit to minister to hearts, bring healing to hurting places, and break chains that have held women captive for generations.
I am a storyteller. I love to tell stories, especially funny ones. I love to laugh and it is even better if you laugh with me. If you don’t laugh with me…that is okay, because most likely, I am laughing enough for both of us.
