More About Rochelle Walsh

Hello!  My name is Rochelle Walsh.   I have been a therapist for over 20 years, and a Christian for all of my life.  I specialize in treating trauma and chronic mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression.  I absolutely LOVE my work.  I feel called to help people break free from the "brain disease" model that has been pervasive in standard approach to mental health, and assist them to find the power and skills to reclaim the "sound mind" that God created us all to have.

In March of 2018, our 13 year old daughter experienced major health crisis, which we are still battling 20 months later.  In this journey I have found that I understand, to a far greater degree, the kind of fear of trials that so many of my clients also battle.  I have found God to be FULLY sufficient during a very dark time in our lives.  I strongly desire to share that hope with as many people as I can.  People need to hear and believe the truth about WHO they are... regardless of WHAT has happened to them.

Due to the fact that I love the intimacy and intensity of 1:1 therapy, I have always been fully content to stay behind the therapy door with clients.  I've never seriously approached trying to reach more people.... until now.  My husband I have traveled to great lengths (figuratively and literally) to find help for our daughter.   We were desperate, just as many people out there are also desperate for answers to their chronic struggling with mental health issues.

40 million Americans are diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder alone.  This should not be the case.  God created us to live in freedom... not fear.   I've always been reluctant to engage in social media, because I very much prefer face to face contact and was concerned it would be time waster in my life.  However, my thoughts have changed in some ways, because we were able to find the resources we needed for our daughter ONLINE.  We were able to connect to providers who are pioneers in their medical fields and who risked putting themselves out there to share vitally important information with people who need it.  I am beyond thankful that they shared their message beyond the confines of their offices.... so NOW... I feel convicted to do the same!
