My husband and I live in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. My professional life was mainly focused on education, leadership and college administration. I taught at the university, college and grade school levels as well as in numerous parks and recreation settings. I have written professionally, as well as dabbled in writing children’s literature. My husband and I have also enjoyed pursuing our entrepreneurial interests in several businesses. My greatest joy and fulfillment, however, has been as a wife, mother and grandmother.
My book, Blessed By Adoption: A Journey of Discovery Blending Families and Countries was published in May 2019 and I felt called to share this story. It is a true story about discovering that I was born a German baroness and how I later became a “princess.” I was adopted into a loving American family, lived in Germany half of my childhood and later became a naturalized American citizen. As I began reflecting upon my life and searching for biological roots over a period of thirteen years, surprises unfolded, miracles happened and patterns developed that revealed a common thread weaving the tapestry of my life.
