Wherever you are in life’s journey, Annette’s portrayal of Women Warriors—ordinary people who became extraordinary because of their simple faith—will leave you spellbound, inspired and motivated.
I want to inspire, invigorate and illuminate you into the indomitable human spirit, powered by God. I am a writer and actor and want to share with you the remarkable lives of seven women who changed the world. In a series of one-women performances I bring to life the remarkable characters of Harriet Beecher Stowe, Elizabeth Fry, Mary McLeod Bethune, Amy Carmichael, Corrie ten Boom, Gladys Aylward, and Sojourner Truth. As Issac Newton said, "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." These women have shoulders big enough for all of us, and from their heavenly vantage point, they reveal secrets to eternity's timelessness. Their journey's show us how an ordinary woman can become extraordinary through a relationship with God. I have been writing and acting since 2007. I formed a production company to present historical characters in theatrical drama settings. In 2018 my first book, A Spoonful of Grace, was awarded the Silver Medal in the Illumination Awards in the Parenting/Family Division for exemplary Christian writing. 2019 brought me Eternity through the Rearview Mirror: How Simple Faith Changed Everything—Seventeen Extraordinary Lives. From Galileo to Johnny Cash I explore how these historical figures changed the world. What did they all have in common? They publicly gave credit to God for their accomplishments. I tell their stories in first person, and from this adapted seven of them for the stage. In 14 minute segments, I portray each of these women using minimal props and costumes. Put these seven characters together and you have a play called Women Warriors (originally directed by four-time Emmy Award winner Sue Ann Staake). "I saw Women Warriors by Annette Hubbell and it was fantastic. I laughed and cried as Annette brought each woman to life. It was like I was there with them …it was mesmerizing! She even had the accents down for each woman! What these women went through, and how their lives were changed because of it, was amazing. Annette told of their strength, wisdom, and courage—beautifully." ~ Carol Stanko

I have seen Annette's performances, and found them extremely engaging, informative, and challenging. She brings to life her characters with sets, costume, and voice, and selects from their stories some of the most intriguing facets of their lives. It was not only entertaining, but very thought provoking as well. I couldn't recommend more highly. Aside from her performances, she is personable, approachable, and an asset to any program where the goal is not only to entertain, but to capture hearts and minds. After the program I attended, their was a very long line waiting to speak with her, and she was unfailingly gracious.

We’ve had Annette back multiple times, and the attendance at these functions always increases when they know she’s coming. Annette brings these women to life and she makes us feel that we’ve actually got Harriet Beecher Stowe, or Corrie ten Boom or any of the others right there with us. We get a front row seat in a behind the scenes look at how these historical figures moved from ordinary to extraordinary—all through their faith in God. We don’t often get to see the role faith plays in the life of a world changer, and this is what made Annette’s portrayals so unique. I was spellbound—we all were. It’s a performance we will long remember.
