More About Gena McCown

Gena McCown has a love for the daughters of God.  Having served in Women's Ministry and MOPS ministries for over 18 years, she has begun serving the women leading these ministries through the Women's Ministry Council.  The Women's Ministry Council is an interdenominational gathering of Women's Ministry Leaders (and women leading other ministries) for the purpose of engaging, ecouraging, and equipping these leaders in the calling the Lord has put before them.  Gena McCown has a Bachelors in Divinity, as well as a degree in Theatre Arts.

In addition to training women through the Women's Ministry Council, Gena has also written a college level course on Women's Ministry which is available through Christian Leaders Institute.  You can also find a selection of Gena's writings in Chicken Soup for the Soul books.  She is currently collaborating on a hilarious book on Introverts (and ambiverts) in the Church culture.   In addition to books, Gena's writing can also be found in She Aspires Women's Magazine (she is the contributing Leadership Editor), Christianity Today, and as a guest writer for many other blogs and resources.

Gena McCown has been married for 19 years, with three daughters, a house of pets, and love for all things beachy.  She has spoken to groups for women, mothers, and leaders in conferences, retreats, workshops, and more intimate settings.  Her topics range from encouragement for those with chronic illness, marriage, parenting, effective leadership, and the life changing power of The Gospel.
