Cheryl Wicker is the founder of "The Amplify Series," a DIY PR coaching program for Christian creative professionals, and the owner of Premier1 Studios, a boutique PR agency. She has a unique background as a journalist who has worked in the newsroom and knows what the media is looking for...and a publicist who knows the tools and tricks of the trade needed to run a PR campaign. She shares this knowledge in her Amplify coaching program as well as national conferences, film festivals, workshops and more. Events include the Christian Women in Media Association National Conference, Christian Media Association National Summit, Gideon Media Arts Conference & Film Festival, Ad Club of Northeast Louisiana, as well as the upcoming Churches Making Movies film festival.
In addition, Cheryl is a motivational speaker inspiring Christian media professionals and women to persevere in life and try new things. This presentation is based on her own challenge with ADD and OCD that made finding her niche in life a difficult one. Events include United Fellowship of Women's Conference Brunch, Louisiana Christian Film Meetup, Gideon Media Arts Conference & Film Festival, and Public Relations Association of Mississippi.
She has also shared motivational talks on self-esteem to teen girls based on her own struggle to find a healthy self-image as a young adult. Venues include Youth for Christ, Barbizon Modeling & Acting Centers, First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, Broaden Horizons, Miller Home for Girls, First Baptist Church of West Monroe and her own program "Beauty Inside Out."
Another dimension to Cheryl’s career is her work in entertainment in the areas of publishing, music and film. As a film producer, her film credits include (‘Flag of My Father,’ ‘Finding Normal,’ and ‘God’s Not Dead.’). She has also worked in publishing (Howard Publishing, now Howard Books with Simon & Schuster) and Christian music (Backstage Christian Music Video Show). She is truly an advocate for those in Christian media and is intent on inspiring and educating all professionals with a positive life-changing message.
