I am a university educator with almost 30 years of teaching Spanish, a speaker, avid writer and world traveling wannabe! Mostly I love spending time with my family, writing, reading, studying, playing board games, walking, hiking, photographing, and baking.
Outside of God's love, nothing thrills my heart more than my family (AND my mom's turkey dressing and potato salad). :) I am blessed with 4 adult children, 1 son-in-love and 2 daughters-in-love, and 2 granddaughters. And there's Rico the MorKY, my adorable blog mascot and trusty side-kick.
What makes me unique as a Christian podcaster, blogger & speaker? Folks say that I am transparent, down-to-earth, real, and that I really put the practical applications into play in my Christian walk. Many find this really encouraging and uplifting. They see me in my struggles and knee deep in challenging and overcoming toxic thinking, but they also see that though my life takes many twists and turns, my faith and reliance upon God persists.
Why START WITH A GRATEFUL HEART? I have found that gratitude has been the attitude pivot point that has helped me the most to defeat toxic thinking and tap in to the peace God offers His children 24/7.
Why CHOOSE 2 THINK as a Podcast? The Bible tells us that we must take every thought captive. Sounds easy, but for me, defeating toxic thinking and eradicating toxic roots is a daily grind. I have learned to be intentional about mind renewal and, by the grace of God, I want to emphasize just how important this is for breaking chains of addiction and for walking in freedom.
