Donna Amidon is a writer, speaker and the founder of Ignite the Heart™. With great love, passion and authenticity, she inspires women to rise above mediocrity. Come and discover how to live life to its fullest, with Christ and His Word at the center.
LONG BIO: A graduate of Southern Evangelical Seminary, Donna is a gifted Christian teacher/speaker who encourages women through her own life experiences and the rich truths of Scripture while weaving its application into the everyday rhythm of a woman's life.
With great love, passion, and authenticity, Donna inspires women to rise above mediocrity and into living life to its fullest with Christ and His Word at the center.
Since marrying her husband, Ryan, in 2001, Donna has served over 15 years in church staff positions of teaching, writing, leadership, radio ministry, worship, and being a pastor's wife. Donna was also the announcer/cohost on Back to the Bible radio - an international radio program. Currently, Donna is an active speaker for Stonecroft Ministries and women's events/retreats.
Ryan and Donna live in Richmond, Virginia, where Donna enjoys leading women's Bible studies, speaking, writing, marveling at her teenage daughter's art, watching her son's soccer skills, and enjoying a date night with her husband amid the flurry of it all.

I have heard Donna speak and she was such an inspiration to me. She was very transparent and her story is very powerful. A lot of women could identify with her feeling of hopelessness concerning her job, her calling, and her marriage. She was very clear about what she learned from this experience in her testimony, and how she once again had hope.

I would recommend Donna Amidon to anyone who needed a knowledgeable and gracious Christian speaker; or general speaker for that matter. She came in to a group of 18 women that she had never met before and left us all feeling as if we'd known her for years.

Donna is a personable, energetic and relatable speaker. She particularly shines as a gifted Bible teacher. Her passion for God’s Word is inspiring and every time I hear her speak I gain new insights into the scriptures while also being challenged to know Jesus more deeply. Donna was exceptional. She taught Biblical truth in a compelling and engaging way. She came and spoke to a group of around 100 middle school girls for a conference. Not only did she speak to the girls, but she also took time during breakout sessions to meet with parents as well.

Donna is a precious sister in the Lord. She is a powerful, anointed teacher who overflows with the Word and the love of God. She is a blessing to all who get to hear her teach! Donna has been a keynote speaker for two events that I have helped organize. Recommended by a friend, Donna has been nothing short of inspirational and spirit filled. She taught the women of our church at a winter getaway and was the speaker for a high school girl’s retreat. Able to speak to multiple age levels, Donna engages women with her stories, approachability, and love of Jesus. She is funny, creative, flexible, and real. Donna shares the love of Christ through strong Biblical teaching, relatable stories and humility. We have thoroughly enjoyed her wisdom, truth, and love and I look forward to working with her in the future. She’s a gem!

Donna was the wonderful keynote speaker at our church's annual Women's Christmas Event in 2019. She shared her joy and passion for our Lord with over 700 women. Donna's heart-felt message on "Jesus: The Light of the World" inspired us all to turn our focus to the birth and life of Christ during the Christmas season. We were delighted to have her as our speaker and cannot say enough wonderful things about her!
