Karmen Bernacchi grew up in a Christian home and was adopted into God’s family at just three years old. From a young age she has remained active in her church and serving through ministry.She attended Evangel College after high school and lived in Minneapolis for a few years before settling in central Wisconsin.
She met her husband Greg while performing in community theatre. Shortly after their marriage, the couple formed Karmen & Greg Ministries – a music and drama ministry dedicated to using comedy, drama and song to reach across denominational lines.
After 16 years of fertility treatments and failed adoption attempts, Karmen and her husband Greg traveled to China in the fall of 2011 to bring home their daughter Ella Joy SiHan. Ella was born with a serious heart and lung defect and 18q- deletion syndrome. Though their journey as a family has been challenging at times, God has used it to deepen their faith and dependence on Him.
Karmen wrote a book about their journey through infertility and adoption. The book is called "Still Waiting" and is available at www.amazon.com.
