More About Amy Rognlie

Amy Rognlie is a Christian author, speaker and teacher. Amy loves to write fiction and devotional material that will point her readers toward a deeper understanding of God and how He works in our lives. Amy is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and writes from her home in Central Texas. She is also a middle-school language arts and Latin teacher, and an experienced Bible study leader, both in a church setting and at the local jail.

Amy's main message is hope. Amy was raised in a godly home and accepted Christ as a young girl, attended Christian school, graduated from Bible college, married, and began a family, always with the fervent prayer that God would use her in His service. But life got messier than she would have ever hoped or imagined as she embarked on the long road of walking alongside a loved one who struggled with addiction.

Out of those painful years, God has brought much fruit. Because of the hope God has given her, Amy is now involved in jail and prison ministry, sharing that hope with those who have lost all hope.  Amy also enjoys speaking to women's groups about learning to rest in God and how to hang on to hope in the midst of tough circumstances.

She and her husband have three grown sons and one granddaughter. Amy enjoys reading (of course), gardening, and knitting. After taking a long hiatus from writing fiction, Amy has recently authored Miss Opal Makes a Match and Miss Opal Learns a Lesson, the first two stories in a series of historical novellas set in Central Texas. Her recently-released cozy mystery, Make Haste Slowly, is the first in the Short Creek Mysteries series and deals with the issue of human trafficking in small-town Texas. The second book in the series, Where There's a Will, releases on November 1, 2018.
