Victory Belongs To You: Christ In You, The Guarantee!
In today's social climate, the constant waves of change and upheaval have made it increasingly difficult to hold fast and persevere in hope. Just as we sense the current storm passing, another torrent is building that demands our attention and steals our peace. The Bible teaches us over and over again that we need not fear but are able to be equipped to meet these challenges with confidence when we simply trust and obey.
If anyone understood what battles were, it would be the apostle Paul. In this message, taken from 2 Corinthians chapter 4 we learn from the best how to persevere with confidence as we remember the treasure that is indeed seated in the center of our believing souls.
"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us." 2 Cor 4:7
Our power to be "overcomers" lies within the power of Christ within us. Focusing on this truth provides us the courage to stand fast in the storms of life. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Cor 12:9-10.
So, good. Who but God could take what seems natural to the world and turn it all around - and then, when you test Him, He proves it to be true.
