Two-Fisted Love: Fighting through Life's Battles with Confidence!

There is an awkwardness about a life that is grounded and centered on the premise of humility and service. These goals are not natural to man. And yet this is what God calls us to do.  The things that He requires of us are seemingly unattainable. His standards are too high and we all miss His mark not just occasionally, but daily.  And yet, there it is, the glairing call to holiness. The glaring call to obedience.   The glaring call to a purpose greater than one's own life.  The good news is that He has provided biblically, people and circumstances that set an example for us and give us bountiful lists of how-to’s.

In this study, we look to two incredible, notable men.  One from the Old Testament, Nehemiah – and one from the New Testament, the apostle Paul.   Their actions linked arm and arm with a list of directives, teach those of us who are carrying the banner of Christ in their stead, how to live life with Two-Fisted Love;  love for God and love for others.  And all of this unfolds with a heart that is postured for spiritual service to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Moving on into our future is going to require bold attitudes and bold actions from God’s people.  Are you ready to be His soldier?  He saved you, rescued you, called you, and appointed you for such a time as this.  Christian Sister?  It’s time to stand up and be ready to live life with a two-fisted love.

Two Fisted Love

Oh, see her there.  She’s standing strong

Her feet are planted

On solid ground.

No time for distractions

Her face is set.

She’s chosen to live with no regret.

No twirling of hair,

no casual glance

No day-dreaming of a coming dance.

And notice her lace

For she’s dressed as His bride.

The faithful soldier who’ll fight by His side.

And notice  her hands as

They clutch the great sword.

Two fisted love for the sake of her Lord.
