This two session conference focuses on Hannah in the Old Testament and Mary of Bethany in the New Testament as we see both women acknowledge that their only hope is found in God.
Caren brings the message of Hannah, who so longed for a son. Caren parallels Hannah's story to her own life story. The lessons of Hannah help us come to terms with the fact that God is in complete control over every detail - even those details that cause us anguish. Becky follows with Mary of Bethany, a young woman who loved to be at the feet of Jesus and struggled with the death of a brother. Becky parallels Mary's story to her own experience with her brother. The lessons from Mary shows us that Jesus is the only hope and anchor for our souls (Hebrews 6:19), and that in Him we set our hope on the grace and mercy He has given us.
