God loves beautiful love stories! And this one He uses to give us the most beautiful and clear version of the gospel there is. It answers every question coming from the Old Testament. Jesus didn't have to come, he wanted to. In fact I believe it was His idea! He was Boaz in love with Ruth, wanting to give her His life--the life was in the blood. We think this means death. In Ruth's story it meant his lifeblood as a husband! Many gems about the goodness of God are unearthed in this beautiful story.
