Sacred Rest: From Overwhelmed to Overflowing

How can you keep your energy, happiness, creativity, and relationships fresh and thriving in the midst of never-ending family demands, career pressures, and the stress of everyday life? Through engaging stories and biblical truths, Saundra gives the weary permission to embrace rest, set boundaries, and seek sanctuary without any guilt, shame, or fear.

This talk is based on the book Sacred Rest: Recover Your Life, Renew Your Energy, Restore Your Sanity. It takes groups through the process of exchanging their daily hustle to daily hush in the presence of God and equips them with the knowledge of why REST has always been a part of God's original plan for our health and wellbeing. 

This talk can be a single presentation or part of a weekend retreat.

Sample Schedule of a Two Day Event:

(Day 1)

6:00 - 6:15 p.m. Arrival and Registration

 6:15 – 7:00 p.m. Opening Evening Session: Wilted, Wounded, and Worn-out

 7:00 – 7:15 p.m. Break

 7:15 - 7:45 p.m. Worship

 7:45 - 8:45 p.m. Main Session: Jesus, I’m Tired – Finding the Rest Your Crave

(Day 2)

9:00 - 9:15 a.m. Arrival and Refreshments

 9:15 – 10:00 a.m. Opening Morning Session: Sacred Rest – Recline in the Holy

10:00 – 10:30 a.m. Workshop and Activities

 10:30 – 10:45 a.m. Break

 10:45 - 11:30 a.m. Main Mid-Morning Session: Unwrapping the Gifts of Rest 

 11:30 – 12:00 p.m. Rest Break (outside if possible)

 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Lunch

 1:00 - 1:30 p.m.  Praise & Worship Concert

 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Main Closing Session: From Overwhelmed to Overflowing

 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Book and CD Signing with speaker/musician

*I also recommend having the worship team or musician for the event lead the attendees in worship for 1-2 songs at the beginning of day 1 & 2 opening sessions and mid-morning session.
