Reflecting Christ: Who Am I?

Every person was ordained by God and given a destiny on this earth from the time we were formed.  We came into this world as a small being and as we grew, we were faced with the decision to allow the world to define our existence or to define our own existence.  We can sit by and do nothing and allow our circumstances and others to define us or we can allow God to grow us into who He created us to be.  God desires to grow us in His will so that our existence is defined by God and under God.  To do this, we surrender our will to Him and we begin to reflect Him, to love and be loved by Him.  This topic takes a look at various scriptures to help women understand their own significance in the eyes of God.

Here's an excerpt from the handout for this topic:

God has brought me through a process of understanding who I am based on His thoughts. He will direct my steps and define who I am.  He will bring me to my destiny.  He created me in His image and He knows me better than I know myself.  When I am looking to understand who I am, what my purpose in life is and what His plans are for me, I can look to Him for the answers.  I am to put my trust in Him alone.   God’s desire is that we understand that He loves us.

Why does God love me?   He loves because He loves.  He does not love because of anything.  He loves me for no reason – I will never give Him a reason to love me.   He loves me because He loves.  My failure or refusal to love Him does not change His love for me.
