Not Called to Be Moses but Called By God: Two Monologues About Miriam

None of us are called to be Moses, but like Miriam we are called by God. Through these two monologues we learn that God sees, He cares, and He has called us.

====

The first of these two monologues, telling Miriam's story, leads up to Moses returning to Egypt from exile. Miriam battles with doubts as to whether God hears, cares, or has the power to do anything. It ends with the victorious, "God has NOT forgotten His people. Moses has returned."

The second monologue has Miriam realizing her physical leprosy springs from a spiritual leprosy of jealousy. It ends with God telling Miriam that she is not called to be Moses. But you are called.
