Leading with Light: Being a Servant Leader in Your Workplace

Doris dispels three leadership myths and offers three leaderships tips for effectively serving as God's approved worker. Every woman of God is called to lead well and He strategically places us where we are for His purposes. Our ministry is wherever we are, woven into the tapestry of God's amazing plans.

Doris understands the challenges of being a leader. She's held management positions in a banking career spanning almost 30 years, then became the Women's Ministry Director at her church. Truth is, all Christians are called to lead well, and that includes where we live, work, and play. Using the biblical examples, Doris unpacks what it looks like to be a servant leader in the workplace and everyplace God sends us.

Bible Verses:

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 NIV

And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large number of the God-fearing Greeks and a number of the leading women. Acts 17:4 NASB

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. Philippians 2:5-7 NIV
