The Israelites did not have an easy trip leaving Egypt. Pharaoh had let them go but soon changed his mind and went after them. Their faith was certainly lacking, and they continually doubted God and yet, He still came through for them in major ways. He followed in a cloud by day and fire by night and parted the Red Sea when the Egyptians thought they had them trapped. Wouldn’t you like to see that? But they still could not trust Him as they gave into impatience when Moses went up to the mountain of God to get the Ten Commandments. They built a golden calf! Something that was not even real! Hello, can anyone give me a, “What idiots!” Didn’t God just part the Red Sea!
But don’t we all get that way? We cannot judge. In this day in our fast paced world we want microwave answered prayers as well. Things do not always work that way. God has already been through ahead of us and knows every detour and side street that you and I will take, and He knows how to get us back on His path. “But be assured today that the Lord your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them; He will subdue them before you. And you will drive them out and annihilate them quickly, as the Lord has promised you.” (Deuteronomy 9:3)
Somethings do take a while and there is a process for it all, especially when it comes to people.
