Growing Up with Mom, the Bully

I grew up with a bully. Her name was Nancy. She was my mother. 

"Good thing they didn't have sex testing when I was pregnant with you," Nancy tells me. "Oh, why is that, mom?" "Because you probably wouldn't be here." WHAT!! I was one gender test away from being an abortion victim! 

The definition of resiliency is the ability to bounce back when you have every reason to give up or shut down. Resilient people have both tapped and untapped reserves, enabling them to overcome and thrive as they face setbacks, challenges, and fears. Participants learn where resilience comes from, and how to strengthen their ability to access inner motivation in moments of difficulty. Learn how to live with bullies. I did.
