"All you can eat!" Some of the sweetest words ever written. If only there weren't consequences. But there is one way to have unlimited fruit in your life with zero restrictions. Galatians 5:22-23 contains the list of the fruit of the Spirit. Many people can rattle off the list from memory, or have them hanging on a wall in their home (Season even has them tattooed on her body!), but most miss the most important part of these verses - the last seven words, "there is no law against these things." Paul is speaking to a Hebrew people who are very familiar with limits. They know how much, how little they could have or how near or far they could be from just about everything. But these words are the best news ever! There is no limit to how much love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control we can have! The Holy Spirit is never done cultivating and wants us to have unlimited fruit! What would your life look like if you got fat on fruit?
