Freedom from Rejection

Having gone through many years dealing with rejection, isolation and feeling victimized by my biological parents, God led me through a life-changing revelation of His acceptance which has proven to be more powerful and freeing than acceptance by any mortal man.

As a young Christian mom, everything came to a head. Busy with three little children and adding three "special needs" children to our family added pressure to an already burdened life unwilling and unable to find satisfaction in my husband's love or that of my children. Rejection reared its ugly head in nearly every area of my life until the day I walked into church as the worship leader was at the microphone and keyboard. God spoke to me very clearly that morning and showed me through the words to the song that still echoes through every recess of my heart: "I'm accepted by the One who loves me most."

Yes, I knew God loved me, but it wasn't until acceptance was coupled with love that I understood that acceptance by anyone else was meaningless in comparison to God's acceptance. For so many years I had looked at life through the eyes of someone rejected by a mother and father, rejected by a foster family, and accepting loving (and most often warranted) correction by parents as yet another layer of rejection.

Rather than go into detail, however, suffice it to say that the revelation of God's acceptance has been a miraculous eye-opener that has changed my life. Although the ugly demon wants to rear its head now and then, I can still recall the words the worship leader sang that transformational morning at the Danville (KY) Church of God:  "I'm accepted by the One who loves me most."

My passion is to help other women understand just how important they are to God -- how they're accepted by Him even if they've had a background riddled with rejection, sin, or any distraction driving home the idea of rejection. It's a trick of the enemy that needs to be exposed so women can fulfill their divine purpose I found through unquestionable acceptance, love and freedom found only through total surrender to  Jesus Christ.

"To the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved."
(Ephesians 1:6)
